Marvin Agustin is open to doing another movie with Star Cinema

Marvin Agustin considers it a big achievement that he was allowed by his bosses at the rival network to do a movie with Star Cinema. He reprised his role as the eldest of the twelve children of Ai-Ai de las Alas in Ang Tanging Ina Mo, Last Na ‘To, the film franchise that began in 2003, when Marvin was still with ABS-CBN.

He further shared how he was touched upon seeing the audience’s reaction while watching the movie.

Marvin said he had a great time doing the third and final installment of Tanging Ina because he was given the chance to bond again with the co-stars he missed very much. He said that if ever Star Cinema would offer him a role in one of their future productions, he would not hesitate to ask the permission of his bosses once again.

For now, Marvin has his commitments with his home network. He will also be going to France to represent his movie The Red Shoes, where he stars opposite Nikki Gil, in a film festival. “I’ll be traveling sa France kasi kasali ‘yung The Red Shoes and meron pang isang international film festival na kasama ‘yung Sigwa.”

Last November, Marvin went to Belgium when he was invited to be one of the judges at the Brussels International Film Festival. “Nag-judge ako sa Brussels International Film Festival. It was a great experience. I was very happy kasi nanalo ang Philippines. Best Picture ang Donor and Best Actress naman for that film si Meryll Soriano.”

Jewel Mische is excited about meeting Gerald Anderson

When Push.com.ph interviewed Jewel Mische on the set of an upcoming Maalaala Mo Kaya episode, the new Kapamilya star shared that after signing up with ABS-CBN, she instantly felt very welcome in her new home network. “Napakasaya ko. I feel na welcome talaga ako. Bago ako mag-taping kinausap na ako nina Tita Mariole (Alberto of Star Magic) and ‘yung iba pa.

Jewel talked about her preparations for the projects lined up for her in 2011. “Patuloy pa ‘yung workshop ko with Direk Rhayan Carlos. Marami na ring sessions ‘yung nagawa namin. Hindi lang siya for the MMK episode that I’m doing pero para na rin sa iba pang projects na maibibigay sa akin for next year.”

Jewel will also be Gerald Anderson’s new leading lady in the action-fantasy series Bagwis. Jewel said that she is about to meet with the creative team to discuss the project which will begin production after the New Year.

While the new Gerald-Jewel tandem is already creating so much buzz, the two have yet to be formally introduced to each other. When she was at the ABS-CBN Christmas Special at the Araneta Coliseum, she got to talk to some Kapamilya stars who described Gerald to her.

Pak!

PWNW Hosts Hail World Boxing Champion Nonito Donaire

Dennis Trillo hopes ex-girlfriend Cristine Reyes will reconcile with her Twitter adversary this Christmas

Dennis Trillo spoke up about former girlfriend Cristine Reyes’s recent rift with a Kapamilya drama princess. Last Sunday, Cristine made angry tweets on her Twitter account about a fellow artist who supposedly spoke negatively about her within earshot of people present at a rehearsal for ASAP XV. While Cristine did not name the actress-performer in her tweets, many are guessing she was referring to Sarah Geronimo.

When asked if he thinks Cristine is the type who would immediately charge or lash out at someone who insulted her, Dennis defended his ex-girlfriend. Dennis clarified that he does not have full knowledge about the issue, but is hoping that things will turn out well for Cristine and the said drama princess.

He said that when they were still together, he never saw Cristine behave the way she did in this recent issue. He also clarified that he no longer has any communication with Cristine.

Dennis shared that he is planning to go to Hong Kong Disneyland after Christmas with Calix, his child with former beauty queen Carlene Aguilar. He also said that he is planning to bring along his family and girlfriend Jennylyn Mercado and her baby, Alex Jazz. “Sobrang excited dahil kasama ko rin ‘yung buong family ko at ‘yung anak ko, lalo na first time naming lalabas out of the country kaya sobrang excited kami.” Jennylyn is also Dennis’s leading lady in Rosario.

After keeping his showbiz career on the down low for the past year, Aga Muhlach is looking forward to the showing of his three films by 2011. First off is his movie with Angel Locsin, tentatively scheduled for release in February. “Dapat abangan talaga yung team-up namin dito. It’s different from my previous movies kasi there’s no lightness [in Huling Sayaw]. Aside from that it’s my reunion movie with direk Olive Lamasan also so I am excited for the moviegoers to see the final outcome of this project,” said Aga during the 16th year of MaAga Ang Pasko kiddie party held at the Philippine International Convention Center last December 10.

Aga further shared that he’s really impressed with Angel’s dramatic performance as well as her passion for her craft knowing that she’s also taping the hit fantaserye Imortal. “Katulad ng sinasabi ko palagi, bilib na bilib ako sa kanya at napapagod ako sa schedule niya talaga dahil she’s doing Imortal and the she comes to our set, back to Imortal then to our set again. Masaya siyang katrabaho. Actually patapos na kami. When I come back from the States tuloy-tuloy na ulit yung shooting para makahabol as Valentine offering yung pelikula namin.

The dashing 41-year-old added that he and his family are spending the Christmas holidays in the States. “Yes, tuloy ang vacation namin dun. Dun naman talaga kami halos nagpupunta kapag holiday. Simple lang naman ang celebration. We’re just going to be together, tahimik. Siyempre ang importante yung mga bata, they’re excited to open their gifts, yung mga ganon lang.

If there’s anything he’s grateful for this 2010, what would it be? “For me, every year is a good year. Kahit anong mangyari sa ating masama at kung ano mang pagsubok ang pinagdadaanan natin sa buhay, what matters is that we’re just lucky to be alive. Importante ma-appreciate mo yun.”

At the end of the interview, Aga also expressed his wish to bring joy to Filipino kids by expanding the Jollibee MaAga Ang Pasko fundraising project nationwide. “I just realized na hindi kami basically umaabot sa Visayas and Mindanao. So next year we’re thinking of launching it sa Visayas para umabot naman dun yung ganitong events namin ‘pag Christmas.”

Cristine Reyes lashes out at a fellow celebrity on Twitter

Sinimulan ni Cristine ang kanyang post sa mga katagang “I am so pissed right now” na naka-all caps pa.

Bakit Hindi mo totohanin in real life?” ani Cristine.

“What a backstabber with a super goody-goody image and super sweet smile!”

Jewel Mische says she has Kim Chiu’s blessing to work with Gerald Anderson

After her December 8 contract signing, Jewel Mische is all set to star in her first project as a certified Kapamilya. The former teen talent search winner is going to be paired opposite Gerald Anderson in the series Bagwis, which is going to be aired next year. The 20-year-old admits she had mixed feelings when she first found out she would be working with Gerald. “Kinakabahan ako because I didn’t expect it na magiging ganun. Lalo na the project is going to be with Gerald and you know, yung love team niya with Kim is napakaganda and very, very strong. I’m happy about it but I’m also nervous. It’s an opportunity for me and I want to give justice to it,” she says.

Although they have yet to start taping for Bagwis, Jewel finally met the Fil-Am actor during the promo shoot for the series. “I’ve met him once and he was congenial. He was nice. Ang alam ko mahusay siyang actor so that alone makes me feel excited to work with him,” she says. Jewel also admits that she is aware that there are expectations to be met, especially among those who are used to seeing Gerald paired with Kim Chiu, but Jewel says she is willing to face the challenge. “Siyempre nakakadagdag ng excitement para sa akin. Pressure siya. I’m very much aware na ganun yung nangyayari but I understand those sentiments of the fans, pero trabaho lang ito. Nothing personal. Sana matanggap nila ako and I would like to earn their respect by giving them a good performance and I’m sure everything will turn out well,” she adds.

Jewel was able to meet Kim during the ABS-CBN trade launch held last December 2 at the PICC and had only nice things to say about Gerald’s former leading lady. “I met some of the stars and I shook hands with Kim. I found her very, very nice. Very nice yung pag-ngiti niya sa akin. It feels nice. So parang nandun agad yung alam kong magiging comfortable ako with her because nakikita ko na mabait siya,” she says.  Jewel was also grateful to hear that Kim also gave good feedback after meeting her. Napakalaking bagay and maraming, maraming salamat sayo Kim and sana soon makilala kita,” she adds.

Jewel also had an earnest message to fans of Gerald and Kim who may still have their reservations about accepting her as Gerald's latest leading lady. “I understand their sentiments but I also know that they would understand and I would want to earn their respect really. Ito po trabaho lang tapos pasko na so it’s a new beginning for me. I’m starting anew so sobrang laking tulong at bagay sa pagsisimula ko kung matatanggap nila ako. And the most important thing is, I’ve got Kim’s approval so thank you Kim. Thank you so much. You’re so sweet,” she says.

Kris Aquino plans to find love again in 2011

Kris Aquino showed no sign of hesitation while answering the question on when she plans to have a new relationship again. The Queen of All Media told reporters during the press conference of her Metro Manila Film Festival movie Dalaw, “Next year. Ha ha ha! With such clarity and confidence na sinabing ‘next year!’” Seven months ago, Kris filed an annulment case to dissolve her five-year marriage to basketball star James Yap. Kris said that she and James are now beginning to become good friends for the sake of their three-year-old son Baby James.

Kris explained that in 2011, she plans to do her own version of the novel-turned-movie entitled Eat, Pray, Love so she can begin her search for a new love. “I'm turning 40 next year and I'm doing my own version of Eat. Pray. Love. Kaya lang, mauuna si Love. We're going the day after my birthday to Bali kasi it's been our dream. And then, when the kids are in school in September pupunta ako sa Bali. I'll do my version ng Eat sa Italy.

But the TV host-actress clarified that before she gets into a new relationship, she hopes her annulment will be granted by the court. She said her sisters have advised her that it will be helpful to speed up the court process if she will “behave.”

Kris also went on to dismiss the numerous rumors linking her to other men, one of whom is the widow and Makati Mayor Junjun Binay. She explained that it would be impossible for her to go on dates like a regular woman because of the number of bodyguards watching over her almost round-the-clock. As the youngest sister of President Noynoy Aquino, Kris, together with her family, is entitled to be guarded by the Presidential Security Group. There's always a minimum of four PSG with me and everything is naka-log. So, if Noy wants to check where I was, although I'm 39 years old, I'm still their bunso. I'm still their baby. Para kami namang lahat, libre to move on.”

Kris plans to make her next relationship different, with an important lesson she learned straight from ex-hubby James. “Ilang beses niyang sinabi sa akin, 'Alam mo, next time, kung gusto mong mag-work ang marriage mo, keep 90 percent to yourself and just share 10 percent. So, I'm taking his word.

JEWEL MISCHE, now an official Kapamilya Star!

Wednesday, December 8, 2010

Good luck Jewel, kapamilya! Oh, and syempre thank you Marie Lozano and Hervie Bautista for the photos!

Blogatorials:ABS-CBN Should Do Loyalty With It's Stars

Ricky Lo's Funfare has reported the possibility of four Kapamilya stars becoming Kapatid. Who are they? Pick out their names from the following letters: SPSEGPSM. One of them is sure to jump ober da bakod from ABS-CBN to TV5, one is being wooed with juicy offers and the last two are, according to Funfare DPAs, “trying to weighs things.”

At press time, Funfare got the “breaking news” that secret negotiations are now going between TV5 and two other big Kapamilya stars.

So far,” said Funfare’s Kapatid DPA, “it’s almost 80 percent sure that the TV5 will get the two stars’ much-coveted yes.”

But why not TV5 go to GMA7 to pirate stars there? The answer is so obvious, big stars are in ABS-CBN.

The dirty network, TV5 is doing everything to be at the top.

ABS-CBN should do loyalty check then with its talents.
